ABOUT

Elisa is a Transplant Staff Ethicist at the Cleveland Clinic Center for Bioethics. She has responsibilities to the Clinical Ethics Consultation service and the transplant selection committees for kidney (donor and recipient), liver (donor and recipient), intestine, and uterus. She completed her Clinical Ethics Fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic Center for Bioethics and earned her PhD in Philosophy from Georgetown University.

Research

Her current research interests are rooted in the complex tangle of ethical obligations in the transplantation context and how caregivers can meet those obligations; ethical issues and challenges related to ECMO; and the epistemic dimensions of clinical ethics consultation.
